Giles here. I believe we don't normally choose a book for December as we have a meal (although I joined the group a fraction too late for this last year). Therefore the next choice will be for the January group, which means it's my turn!
So your task for January, should you choose to accept it, will be to read and discuss number9dream by David Mitchell. Following on from our trip to Turkey over the last 2 months, the setting this time is Japan. It was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2001, which can sometimes be a good sign (other times, less so).
For those that don't know, David Mitchell the author is not the same person as the comedian, who I don't believe has written any novels. But I'm sure you all know that, being the cultural book-lovers that you are.
